It’s been very hot here in Port Ludlow this week. Quite a change from the rainy weather we endured in the spring. Nice to know that the reservoirs are pretty full, and we can water our lawn to keep it from burning out.
Around 9:20, we left home to head toward Pendleton, Oregon, and Wildhorse Casino Resort where we will be playing golf with the Jorgensen Golf Group. Drove around through Tacoma and over Snoqualmie Pass. We stopped in Ellensburg for cold drinks and snacks. Further on, we stopped at Alexandria Nicole Winery in Prosser. Our route headed south from there avoiding I-82 as it winds through the Tri-Cities on SR 221. We went by the Columbia Crest vineyards and then went east to meet I-82 again. In an hour, we arrived at Wildhorse.
When we tried to check in, the clerk said we had a room in the older wing. We spoke up and were given a room in the new tower for the same rate. We had a dinner of sandwiches at their sports bar and then returned to our room to watch some golf and drink a bottle of Alexandria Nicole white wine, Affinity Albariño.
