Woke up in our nice 6th-floor room at the Wildhorse Resort. Feasted on our leftover sandwiches for breakfast. Still a lot of smoky haze in the air from BC fires. We went over to the golf course around 10:45 to meet up with the Jorgensen golf group. Warmed up with some practice balls and putted on their smooth greens.
Started our round with cold bottles of water and our Frog Towels handy. The temperature was predicted to be in the high 90's and it didn't disappoint. We played our round with Eric and Jennifer. They were from Mill Creek over near Everett. They also had similar handicaps. They were pleasant to play with.
The golf was pretty good even though we had a 15-20 mph breeze to contend with. The course was in very good condition. We finished in just less than 4 and a half hours. Elaine ended with a 112 and I missed a short sandy-par putt on 18 to finish with a on-my-handicap 81.
After we recorded our scores, we drove the 45 minutes to Walla Walla and had a couple tasty and cold beers with fish tacos at Mill Creek Brewery. Watched the Mariners play on the TV screen above us which was a pleasant pastime.
After we enjoyed our meals, we drove to our lodging for the next two nights, Hampton Inn and Suites. Check in was easy and friendly. We spent the evening relaxing and watching some golf on TV. The room was quite chilly when we arrived so it stayed cool all night.
